Meet the Founding Board of Kindah Health Corporation

Rooted in the African belief that we are one family - Kindah - we show up because the village always does. Representation in service is powerful. When a community that has only seen white-led missions finally sees a team that looks like them - that is healing of a different kind.

Kindah is an African word meaning One Family. Carried across the ocean through slavery and preserved in the voice of the Black diaspora - we are kin.

Our founding board brings together expertise in federal human resources, nonprofit leadership, healthcare, financial stewardship, administration, and deep community roots in Jamaica. Samantha J. Wright, Founder & Mission Director, is a 21-year Air Force veteran and federal HR professional whose personal connection to the Jamaican diaspora and Gullah Geechee heritage anchors the mission. Dr. Janeika Bailey Robinson, DNP, serves as Medical Director, providing clinical leadership and guiding the health programming we bring to St. Elizabeth Parish. Mr. Charles Jackson, Treasurer, ensures our financial accountability and stewardship so every dollar serves the mission. Mrs. Cynthia Grayson, Chief Administrative Officer, brings decades of legal and administrative expertise, maintaining the governance, records, and official correspondence that keep Kindah Health sound and accountable. Mrs. Madline Brown, Jamaica Community Relations Manager and Deaconess at Round Hill Wesleyan Holiness Church, is the heart of our community connection — she knows the people, the needs, and the land we are called to serve. Mr. Sheldon Taylor, Board Member at Large for Strategic Development and Community Partnerships, expands our reach and builds the relationships that carry the mission forward.

Together, this board does not just oversee Kindah Health. We are the village.
