Meet the Founding Board of Kindah Health Corporation

We are one family. That belief is the ground everything here is built on, and it is older than this organization, older than any of us. It lives in a single word.

Kindah means One Family. The name reaches back to the people who carried it and forward to the work we do now, and it is the reason this board exists, not only to lead Kindah Health, but to embody what it stands for. Together, we are the village.

Our founding board brings together expertise in federal human resources, nonprofit leadership, healthcare, information technology, financial stewardship, and strategic community development. Samantha J. Wright, Founder & Mission Director, is a 22-year Air Force veteran and federal HR professional whose personal connection to the Jamaican diaspora and Gullah heritage anchors the mission. Mr. Sheldon Taylor, Vice Chair for Strategic Development and Community Partnerships, is a 24-year Air Force veteran and federal HR professional whose strategic vision expands our reach and builds the relationships that carry the mission forward. Ms. Shivawn Jackson, Chief Administrative Officer, brings over 21 years of information technology experience and a commitment to ensuring Kindah Health operates with integrity and care from the inside out. Mr. Kenneth Smith, Treasurer, is a 20-year Army veteran and federal financial professional whose financial accountability and stewardship ensure every dollar serves the mission.

Together, this board does not just oversee Kindah Health. We are the village.
